Boomerang UK + European Channel Branding

Miss the old look from 2004? Well, here's a look back at some of those classic bumpers.

These animated bumpers were the start of Boomerang new alternate logo, instead of the US look, with the toys and figurine, which still continues running today.

Back then, they had a huge mix of different idents. The main standard idents were gags from classic cartoons, shorter gags were used inbetween programs and ad breaks, and most well-known were the Next/Later announcement idents where the line draws the character's heads.

Below is a mix of the Standard IDs and short ad break cues. You'll notice the character voices for the brand were provided by Jeff Bergman, who currently reprises the role of Bugs and Daffy in The Looney Tunes Show.

  1. I like this 2004 look better than any other looks of any Boomerang channel. At last, someone uploaded on YouTube the Boomerang UK 2005 promo of Inspector Gadget with Gadget's head saying "Go, Go Gadget Phone!" at the end of it (recorded from British CN): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CavOL9CKtGY

  2. I don't understand why they stopped using many of the original bumpers later on, especially Boomerang EMEA which for years used just that boring generic ident with logo swirling and blue background.
